-<UPDATE!! Plymouth Church (on Franklin & Nicollet) coffee house on May 13th>-
April 21st, 2005
Hey guys! It's Noah! Just got back from Jamfest, and boy what an interesting night we had. A lot of Good Bands played
at Jamfest befor us, and then we got to play second to last. We were told half way through the show we could only play one
song, but we bargained into getting five minutes, which was basically 2 songs. It was also funny cause during our huddle,
an older guy came up to us and just told us to rebel and play what we want, since they havent cut anyone off yet, and they
wont. Anyway, we warmed up with "Chillax" which was really fun, but got cut short and then we shakily entered the
infamously catchy July. However, right at the begining of the song, Colin beckoned everyone up on stage, which aparently was
a taboo, and our power was cut! the stage went black, and people were sill skanking. we love you guys. Anyway, we still had
a blast, and after we got kicked off the stage, the 'pit'was chanting "skattish! skattish!" it was a good time.
Hopefully we'll play a bit better at the change debut. who cares. it was a blast.
cya guys soon.
HELLO ALL! Colin here. We are a busy bunch of babes lately. Lot of good shows coming up for your pleasure.
Check us this Thursday April 21 at Southwest, 6:30ish at Jamfest. And then, May 6th with the beautiful Change. That'll be
a riot. And on May 13th we'll be at Z's church playing. We need a lot of support so that we can all have fun and skank up
the place. New songs in the making, and the lyrics we've been writting are very insperational. The message of unity, peace,
and love are mos-def being spread in these new songs. New name coming in the future, any ideas???? Post them in the guest
book if you have an idea for a name you think would be excellent.
Until we speak again,
-your friends at Skattish-

Sorry guys, those of you who ever actually look at the web site, (in other words, no one) probably think we are all dead or
something. Well we're not! we're alive and well. We haven't been very active with the band lately but i think we're gonna
start working on stuff a lot more lately. I just wrote a damn fine sounding tribute to Operaton Ivy and I'm feelin great about
that song. The other night we decided that we're not gonna have a lead singer anymore, Jonah's gonna play keyboard instead.
We're all pretty good at signing so we're just gonna give songs to whoever wants to sing them or would be the best for singing
them. We're playing at The Underground with The Change for their debut party, that's gonna be one hell of an awesome time.
This is on May 6th so mark your calenders now, I think we're also playing at a coffeehouse at my church on May 12th but I'll
get more details about that later. It's spring break and life is great! Music is a beautiful thing and I'm learning to appreciate
it more and more every day... but that's a different story. Anyways, Noah and I (Zac) got into a play at Southwest, there
were a whole lot of people auditioning so it's really cool that we got in. Colin and Jonah are in Track, Nick's in Lacrosse,
Brent's got ladies all over him all the time, see how busy we are? This is why we always suck at our shows cuz we never have
time to get together and practice! Well whatever, I really love all you guys, ciao.
~Zac
Some time around the beginning of April
Hey you guys, its Jonah
I just wanted to notify you that were going to be rockin it out with The Change and these other guys on May 6th, more to come
about that. In other news, Skattish is thinking about changing its name from Skattish to something else because we don't want
our band name to tie us town to one genre of music. (thanks Marosi) Here are some of the candidates, let us know what cha
think and give us your idea for a band name if you happen to think of one.
-The Pistachios
-The Maybe So-So's
-Knew Fruit
-Table Fable
-The Beautifuls
E-mail us about which 1 you like the most if you feel like it.

So, the battle is over! But we're not done yet... no no we're NOT done yet. We do need places to play though, so if anybody's
having a big party or anything and would like us to play there, just give us a jingle. The battle of the bands was a whole
lot of fun, overall we got fourth (out of five in the final battle), which is a-ok with me. We played really well in the final
battle, it was definately the best we've ever played although we didn't have jonah. The judges gave us a lot of good and helpful
feedback, I think the judging system was pretty accurate. They said we're all very talented, we just need to learn to siphon
all our talents into one great thing, then we'll "be the best". Anyways, we won a bag of stuff as a consolation
prize but i didn't hear what it was. I think all of us are really starting to be able to work together much better so we'll
be able to write some really kickass stuff shortly. Well I know there's more stuff that happened that I'm forgetting to tell
you about but if I remember I'll just post it later. Ciao guys, Love u all.

Friday, March 11th, 8:44 P.M, At the TC Underground, Los Culeros CD Release Party
Hey everybody, we're (Noah, Nick Ray, Colin, and yours truly) at the Los Culeros CD Release Party at the TC Underground
and it's a funky good time. We're playing the final battle tomorrow and we're all more ready than we have ever been for a
show. We're doing a cover of a really awesome song by the greatest band in existence tomorrow, and it's gonna be oh so sweet.
Jonah probably won't be able to sing w/ the band and that's a load of moose piss but Colin and I are ready to take over for
him and it's going to rock like crazy none the less. We're playing with The 4 Minor Drawbacks, Risen Below, The Big One Two,
and The Hollywoods tomorrow and it's gonna be one hell of a sweet show. I'm gonna go mosh/skank like whoa so peace out fans.

the site then. The big battle's coming up. Shit I'm tired.

Well, it's the big day, yes yes the big day of the big show. Finally. I've done the math and it turns out we only need 30
votes to bump the 4 minor drawbacks out of round 3 and make it to round 3. If we get 50 votes we'll be in FIRST!! we could
be on our way to second or third place! The Hollywoods are gonna be in round 3 too! That's gonna be awesome cuz they are another
ska band and I hope they rock. Man this show's gonna be intense. For those of you who didn't see us play on Feb. 18, PREPARE!
We've gotten so much better, even from the Lake Harriet Uniter First Methodist show. WE'VE GOT A NEW BAND MEMBER!! I'll get
Luke to add him to the site post-haste. He can already seen around the site in various places but now he's officially part
of the band!!! He plays the mini-sax and it's really sweet having two saxophones! In the Heat of July sounds SO GOOD NOW!!
None of us ever realized this but it desperately needed another horn! MAN this rocks! We're gonna get some photos of us playing
live and stuff! AAHH!! I'm SO EXCITED FOR TONIGHT! I'LL SEE YOU ALL THERE!!!

Hey guys, how ya doin, Zac here. The band's feeling pretty stoked to play more shows as an aftermath to the rockin one we
played last friday. That was so sweet. I'm really happy that we're finally good enough for people to actually like us instead
of a bunch of our friends coming to shows just because they know us. Life is good. It definately is for me at least. Colin's
girlfriend broke up with him like last night, and i'm still not sure if he's happy or sad about that, whatever, not my place
to investigate. Jonah and his girlfriends are doing good I think... but nevermind that. We're working on a new song and it
sounds like its gonna be pretty kickass. It's pretty in your face, it's got a bit of like a WE'RE SKATTISH SO SHUT THE FUCK
UP feel to it, I like it a lot. It sounds good with the sax machine.we're also working on all our other stuff, like we're
starting the cover we're gonna do, it's real simple, and apparently Nick's got something sweet planned for us but we haven't
seen him in a little while. Anyways, the band's really happenin in a good way and we all look forward to playing on March
5th a lot. I hope all you guys can make it cuz it's gonna be awesome beyond belief.

Holy fuck.
So we played an amazing show, you guys...yeah, i know it is about time. But the whole reason i wanted to write this for
the site is because, in actuality the thing that rocked our day wasn't just the show. Well, the beginning of the day (from
my point of view) started with a stark morning-wood and then a shower to wash it off. As the day progressed, Skattish got
word via the wind that our beloved Brent was blowing chunks everywhere... the band was going to meet at B-Huts after school
but we called him and he said we waslying in bed hot, sweaty, naked, and unable to move, (in a sick flu way, not a sexual
way) so we shouldn't come over. Holy Fuck. The drummer of love was down, and we had no second options. Skattish met at Z-Money's
house and talked about whether or not to even show up at the show. This was our magical moment, Colin was worried, as we all
were, but he was feeling quite a bit more melancholy than the rest of us. He really self-sacrificed for the show tonight and
if you guys would... at your computers tonight ...just give him a round of applause. He invited his old best friend Mitchell
Malloy to the show, and wanted to put the best show Mitchell would ever see, except he was really set on doing it with our
full band. After long discussion he finally said, "well, its either me being a large butt, or performing to be the hottest
man alive." The decision was pretty clear. After a breakdown like that, the condition of our band had nowhere to go but
up. Good times. We got to the church ready to rock, but we had to wait for 8 other bands to go before us. So we waited and
heard some amazing talent, it was a shame that we had to wait so long to play, most people had left by the time we played,
me might've gotten more votes and gotten 3rd place if we had played sooner. I wish House of Love had won, they really deserved
to, those guys are all really really awesome guys. We met some very nice ladies from Edina by the names of Christina, Kristina,
Shaehan(wtf), and Kelly and Marrisa... They gave the band Skatish faith for Edina. So as you can probably tell, we did alright,
and for us alright is great.
Thanks for reading this all the way thru ~ Jonah Sarg. (Editing and extra notes by Zac)

Shit, so we're playing a show tomorrow (hopefully) at Lake Harriet United Methodist Church. It's another battle of the bands
deal, but Brent is sick like none other. This is a big problem, Brent is the most talented guy in our band anyways! Shit,
what a time for a guy to get sick. He's been at home puking his brains out all day long, I feel bad for the guy, that is pretty
gross. I just talked to him and he said he wishes he could play drums but he doesnt really feel like moving at the moment.
Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit, I really hope he's better by tomorrow, it's not like a big deal gig or anything like
it's gonna be on March 5th but I really like playing live shows but it's just not the same without the whole band. Me and
Jonah played The Spooning Song and an acoustic version of The Chipotle Song at an open mic a last week with Will on guitar
and Louque Ordoyne on the musical shirt with buttons (percussion), but it just wasn't the same. It's definately not as much
fun. Man I hope Brent gets well, I love that kid, and I feel so bad for him... so everyone, when you see Brent I want you
to tell him that you love him, and comment on how hot he is, that always cheers him up. (Even though he might not be as attractive
when he's puking all over your face.) So anyways, I guess we'll just have to practice all we can and hope for the best tomorrow.
Wish us luck.
~Zac
